“The…mud run gave our church the opportunity to meet thousands of new people in our area. Over 75% of the people who raced had never been to our campus before. All of this was possible through the leadership, marketing and help of the…team. If you’re looking for a creative outreach opportunity this is it.” – Steve Carter, Teaching Pastor & Outreach Director, Willow Creek Community Church, Chicago, IL
The Grand Rapids Mud Run is a messy, muddy, obstacle and challenge-based 5K run that’s designed to be safe for competitive athletes, fun seekers, and families. The first Grand Rapids Mud Run was held in 2010 in West Michigan. Today it attracts thousands of mud-lovers, and includes lots of mud pits, a 60 foot mud slide, a swamp, tunnel crawls, walls, slippery hill climbs, a 30 foot cargo climb, and much more.
